Area Attractions
Spartanburg, at one point the hub of Upstate business, offers many historical sites as points of interest.
- Pack a picnic and spend the afternoon at Cowpens National Battlefield as you relive the turning point in the Revolutionary War.
- Visit Walnut Grove Plantation for a guided tour of a farm home along with its beautiful grounds, server as the enchanting backdrop for many heated Revolutionary Ware skirmishes between the Patriots and the British.
- View the work of Upstate and other local artists at the Carolina Foothills Artisan Center
- Stop dowtown for lunch at Abby's Grill or the Sandwich Factory and visit the Regional Museum of Spartanburg County. While there, inquire about a tour of the historic Price House or the Seay House, the oldest home in Spartanburg County
Family Outdoor Activities
- Visit Hollywild Animal Park and get up close experiences with an array of wildlife from ringtailed lemurs to the Carolina Panthers themselves! Feed many of the larger animals by hand on the park's unique Safari Ride which travels through 80 acres of natural habitat.
- Enjoy an outdoor concert in Barnett Park or wear a swimsuit to play in the interactive fountain.
- Ride the train at Cleveland Park
- Enjoy the wildlife and waterfalls at Hatcher Gardens. Take a picnic to enjoy in the gazebo and some tennis shoes for walking the beautifully landscaped paths.
Shopping
- Enjoy downtown shopping within walking distance of the Inn. You'll find everything from antiques, to clothing, to music boxes in our historic downtown area. Many specialty boutiques give the vicinity its charming and personal charachter.
- Westgate Mall is located within ten minutes of the Inn.
- The Gaffney Outlet Mall is located within thirty minutes of the Inn.

- There are four theaters which are all easily accessible from the Inn.
